Thank you for your interest in the AA TESOL Program of Professional Studies. Congratulations on taking this important first step towards earning your on-line TESOL program completion! As you progress through your search for a TESOL program completion, I encourage you to explore our programs and services to familiarize yourself with the program and all that it has to offer. This website provides a comprehensive overview that we are sure you will find helpful as you make critical decisions about your education and your future.
Our On-line TESOL program and certificate program is taught by faculty members who are renowned experts in their fields. Their teaching combines both theory and practical application to provide students with the latest trends and information that can be readily applied on the job. Faculty members are not just teachers, they are working professionals, who serve as mentors, and are deeply connected within their profession. They provide career advice and often help to cultivate valuable networking opportunities that serve our students well beyond completion of our program.
Students who join our program come from all walks of life and possess a wide range of professional experience. They are industry veterans who seek to enhance their professional credentials; career changers who are interested in acquiring new transferable skills; and recent graduates who require advanced knowledge to compete and to succeed in today’s challenging English teaching market. All are highly motivated and understand the benefits of an AA TESOL education.
I am Vaughn Starr, Executive Director of USAX and its subsidiary programs including AA TESOL, USAX student exchange programs and P2PTOURS short-term programs. It is my mission to ensure that our programs are the highest quality programs available. I became involved in international education 30 years ago as an international student myself, and have been running my own programs for more than 10 years now. It is my goal to make our programs interesting, informative and fun, but above all to provide the best education available for our students. I take a great deal of pride in how far we have come. USAX재단은 국제 학생들을 전문적으로 교육시키는 교육재단으로서 30년간 운영중이며, 동시에 펜실베니아주정부에서 운영하는 차터스쿨에서 I-20을 발급해주는 최고권한을 가지고 있습니다.
챠터스쿨이란? 사립 및 공립교육의 장단점을 접목하여 전인교육과 창의적 교육방식을 추구하는 미국교육의 시스템이며 한국의 자율형사립고등학교의 성격과 유사합니다. I-20는 입학하고자 하는 대학 및 교육기관으로 Form I-20 이라고 불리는 입학허가서를 받는 것을 말합니다.
보통 미국 국토안보국 산한 이민 및 시민국(Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Service)로부터 허가된양식입니다. I-20은 학생비자 신청시 반드시 필요한 서류입니다. 또한 입국심사를 받을 때도 입국허가 번호를 기재하고 관련 사항을 스템프하도록 되어 있습니다.
